Jersey City Spotlight: Don Vogt

This week we spoke with Bayonne resident / Jersey City native, Don Vogt! For those who don't know Don, he is the current CFO of 902 Brewing, and has been there since the beginning building 902 Brewing to what it is today. Although Don might be bias about the best place to have a beer (902 Brewing at 101 Pacific Ave in Jersey City), he has other great recommendations of local spots to check out! 

TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOURSELF!

I'm native of Jersey City currently living in Bayonne, I studied and received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (B.S.B.A.) with a major in accounting at West Virginia University. I also have a Graduate Certificate from West Virginia University in Forensic Accounting and Fraud Investigation. I also obtained his New Jersey Real Estate license and it is hung with KW City Life JC.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS! HOW DID IT START? BIGGEST CHALLENGE? FAVORITE PART? WHERE DO YOU SEE IT GOING?

902 Brewing started with a 3 gallon pot and a home brewing kit, the idea of 902 Brewing Company fermented into a business in August of 2012.  We were gypsy brewing till March of 2020.  Till we opened up our location at 101 Pacific Ave, Jersey City location.  Biggest Challenge is opening our door in the middle of a pandemic. Favorite Part serving beer to your clients.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO FOR FUN?

Tailgate gating at Giants games and watch the WVU Mountaineers play.  As well as spending time with my kids.
